Now that the holidays are finished and we’re smack in the void of winter we patiently wait for spring to arrive, who’s thinking about their goals for 2023? If one of your goals is to move your body more, consider joining us as we have the incredible opportunity to be the benefiting charity for the Runtastic Frigid 5k and Penguin Plunge on Saturday, January 28th in Provo.
Runtastic Events will donate a portion of each entry to our organization. They have a donation page set up that each participant will see as they register to make a donation directly to Wolfpack. Our logo will also be on the bibs, website, advertisements, and we will have our Wolfpack tent set up at the finish line with information about our programs.
As a recipient of this contribution, we have been asked to volunteer for the race and help with promotion and advertising. Here is what you can do to help:
REGISTER
REGISTER for the race! It is a 5k and will be held rain, snow, or shine. Tell your friends and family about the race and get lots of people there to enjoy the day. Hang around after the race and do the Penguin Plunge into the icy waters of Utah Lake as well!
All participants who complete the 5k will receive these nifty gloves and beanie. Athletes who also participate in the Penguin Plunge will get that beautiful keychain. What’s the Penguin Plunge, you ask? The race officials will cut a whole in Utah Lake and insert a cage for safety. Then participants can jump in the freezing water and right back out again. There are tents with heaters and lots of hot cocoa to warm back up.
VOLUNTEER
VOLUNTEER for the race! Wolfpack will need many volunteers to help not only during the race but on Friday and Saturday before and after the race. When you register to volunteer, make sure to choose Wolfpack as your organization so we get credit for your hours.
You can also earn points towards free Runtastic races at the same time. Aw yeah!
This fundraiser will benefit Wolfpack by supporting our spring track & field season and while costs for pretty much everything continue to rise, it will help keep our registration fees from going up too.

One last thing that makes these races so much fun?? They have photographers throughout the course taking photos and then Runtastic shares the photos for free!
