USATF Membership Step-by-Step
New to USATF? We got you.
All athletes on our comp team (both track and XC) need to have a USATF membership to participate in any trainings or meets. This includes submitting a date-of-birth verification. Follow the steps below to get started.
Need to make changes to an existing membership (change team affiliation)?? Scroll down for that.
- First up, head to the USATF website and New Athlete Membership and fill in the personal details for your athlete (name, date of birth, email, address, etc).
2. Next you will choose a club affiliation. First enter your home zip code. Then type in Wolfpack and our club should pop up.
3. Next it will ask about military affiliation, university affiliation, along with U.S. citizen status. You will also need to acknowledge various USATF policies and liability waivers.
Fill these out based on your child.
Once you are done, click Add + Checkout and proceed to pay for your USATF membership.
You'll get a confirmation email that contains your child's membership number for future reference. That will remain their number every time their membership is renewed. Memberships are good for 1 year from Jan 1 - Dec 31.
Date of Birth Verification
All athletes under age 18 need to have their age verified by USATF before they can train or compete.
To do this, go into your athlete's membership profile and click on Athlete Verifications.
Click on the button +Add Athlete Verification. Then follow the steps to upload an image of your child's birth certificate.
Once that is done, it will take a few days to a week for date-of-birth verification to go through.
Change Club Affiliation
Already have a membership, but you need to affiliate with Wolfpack? Or change your affiliation? Here's how:
- Login to your child's membership and click on their profile and click on Memberships.
On the far right, click on the 3 dots under Actions and then Transfers.
Then click on the button Start Transfer and type in Wolfpack to choose our club. PLEASE note which Wolfpack you are choosing! You want Wolfpack Running Club Utah (not the CA club).
When you have the right club selected, click on Start Transfer. It can sometimes take a few days for the new club affiliation to appear.
