The Wolfpack Elementary Program provides a safe and exciting way for kids of all skill levels to enjoy the physical and emotional benefits that come from running and belonging to a team.

In the spring, kids will learn the basics of track and field—including sprints, relays, distance running, long jump and javelin—through game-based activities and engaging lessons, with a primary focus on effort and personal improvement. Practices will be held on your child’s school field or at a nearby park.

In the fall, kids will learn the basics of cross country, trail running, and endurance running—through game-based workouts, fun lessons, and a primary focus on individual improvement. Practices will be held on your child’s school field or at a nearby park.

If you are unable to register your athlete for a specific team, it may be because that team is full. We are planning to have 12-13 teams and only 30 athletes on each team. Once a team is full, the site will not accept any more registrations. If your school’s team fills up, feel free to register for another one close to you if the practice days/times work. All of our teams are in the Sandy and Draper area.

Teams with a * are still in need of an assistant coach. We cannot have a team at these schools or parks if we don’t have a both a Head Coach and Assistant Coach. Head Coaches get a modest stipend and both coaches get their kid(s) fees waived. No coaching or running experience is required. Consider sharing your love for running with these awesome kids!
If you or someone you know is interested in coaching, please contact our Elementary Program Director Tom Sharkey: [email protected]
