The Wolfpack competition team is for hardworking athletes who seek a more structured, focused, and competitive experience. Do your kids love track and field or trail running? Do they like to be in a competitive environment? Do they like to work hard and be rewarded for personal improvement? Do they understand the basics but want to learn even more? Do they want to be part of state and national teams?

If so, this is the Pack for them.

Our team focuses on racing strategies, mental strength development, and goal setting within a fun environment. Each practice features core and agility work within a comprehensive training plan that enables athletes to peak at specific times throughout the season. This team is geared toward athletes who would like to compete at state, regional, and possibly national levels in track and field and/or cross country. Athletes should be able to comfortably run two miles without stopping to thrive in this program.

The competition team is USATF certified, and athletes on this team are required to have a USATF membership.

  • When: Track & Field: Late March–July | Cross Country: August-December
  • Ages: 8–14 (3rd–8th grade)
  • Events: Track & Field: Sprints, Hurdles, Distance Running, Throwing, and Jumping Events | Cross Country: Trail & grass running, distance varies on age division, 1-5 kilometers
  • Includes: 14-16 weeks of focused training with suggested workouts for off days + 3 structured practices per week + Racing singlet + Opportunity to earn a training tee based on effort throughout the season

Comp Team Track & Field Registration is closed for the 2023 season.

All Comp Team athletes must have a USATF membership to be on the team!


TRACK & FIELD: Comp team track & field practices will begin in mid-April. Practices will be held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5–6:15pm with one of those days possibly being a trail run. Locations and changes to the training schedule will be on Team Snap. Please sign up to receive notifications on TeamSnap as any changes to the schedule, practice times and locations will be shared in the group chat on TeamSnap.

CROSS COUNTRY: Cross country comp team practices will tentatively begin in mid-August and will go through December. Practices will be held on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:30–5:45pm. Wednesdays will usually be trail days. Locations and any changes to the training schedule will be on Team Snap.

Teams are contingent on enrollment. Additional practice locations/teams may be added and/or changed. Rain-outs are decided based on condition/safety of the practice location. Rain alone does not mean practices will be cancelled. Our coach will reach out to you if practice will be cancelled/rescheduled. There is a $20 bookkeeping fee on all refunds. No refunds will be given after the first week of practice.
