Elementary Program
The Wolfpack Elementary Program provides a safe and exciting way for kids of all skill levels to enjoy the physical and emotional benefits that come from running and belonging to a team. Our teams are located in Sandy & Draper, UT.
Track & Field registration will open February 10.
Training begins the week of April 13, 2026
Meets will tentatively be in May at Corner Canyon High School.
Spring Track & Field
In the spring, kids learn the basics of track & field: sprints, relays, distance running, long jump, and javelin - through game-based activities and engaging lessons, with a primary focus on effort and personal improvement. Practices are held on your child’s school field or local park.
Events:
100m, 400m, 1600m, 4x100m relay, turbo javelin, and long jump
Fall Cross Country
In the fall, kids will learn the basics of cross country, trail running, and endurance running through game-based workouts, fun lessons, and a primary focus on individual improvement. Practices are held on your child’s school field or a local park.
Distances:
1k, 2k, or 3k, depending on age division
Our Elementary Teams
Don't see your child's school listed? No worries, you can register your child for ANY team. Just choose one that works best with your schedule and location.
Practice days and times are subject to change every season as coaches are recruited and may change when coaches are confirmed.
Teams are contingent on enrollment, a team needs at least 10 athletes (not including coach's kids).
Be a Coach!! If you volunteer to coach, you may be able to choose the practice days that work best for you, PLUS your kids run for free. Start times for teams at schools should be 10-15 minutes after school lets out unless otherwise discussed. Interested?? Reach out to Grace: elementary@wolfpackrunning.org

If you or someone you know is interested in coaching one of our elementary teams for either track & field or cross country, please contact our Elementary Program Director, Grace Cobabe: elementary@wolfpackrunning.org
No coaching experience is needed; you don’t even need to be a runner. Wolfpack provides coaching materials and a program curated by former professional runners and elite athletes. Coaches kids run for free and our head coaches receive a small stipend at the end of the season.
Teams are contingent on enrollment. Additional practice locations/teams may be added and/or changed during registration.
Rain or snow rarely means practices will be cancelled. Cancellations are decided based on condition/safety of the practice location. Coaches will reach out if practice will be cancelled/rescheduled.
There is a $20 bookkeeping fee on all refunds. No refunds will be given after the first week of practice.
