Wolfpack Comp Team at USATF Jr Olympic Nationals
Back in December, 36 of our comp team athletes traveled to Shelbyville, Indiana for the USATF Jr Olympic National Championship. This was the second year Nationals was at the Blue River Cross Country Course and it proved to be one of the most challenging yet.
The weather was the biggest star though. It snowed a couple of inches on Thursday night, so we did a course run-thru on Friday. On Saturday morning, it started snowing right when the first race began. And it kept snowing the whole day!
Major kudos to ALL of our athletes for toughing it out for their races. It was COLD!
A huge congrats to Elijah J. for placing 7th and Corban S. for placing 25th in the 9-10 boys race, earning both of them All-American status and helping their team place 5th in the nation.
