New to cross country??
Read about youth cross country HERE (no, they aren't running marathons), and how it can benefit kids as they grow. Cross country is fantastic for kids who do comp soccer or lacrosse!
We plan to have 14 teams in the Canyons School District. Click HERE for more info, a list of teams, and tentative practice days/times for each team. Some practice days/times may change as we recruit coaches. At this time, we have no plans to expand beyond Canyons School District.
Wanna join the Pack as an elementary coach?? No coaching experience is required and Coach's kids run for free. Shoot a message to Tom Sharkey, our Elementary Program Director: elementary@wolfpackrunning.org
Competition Team:
- 3rd-8th graders (7-14 years old)
- 16 weeks of training
- 3x/week structured practices in Sandy & Draper
- compete in potentially 5-7 meets
- a racing singlet
- opportunity to earn a training tee
Registration includes the meet fees for our two Wolfpack-hosted meets and the USATF Utah Association Championship meet. Registration will be open until the team fills up or August 25, whichever comes first. Some athletes may still register after the deadline when they do a required trial practice. Reach out to Rachel Martinez for info about a trial practice, rachel@wolfpackrunning.org
Practices include core work, agility, running form, and a training plan that allows athletes to peak at specific times throughout the season. Not sure if the comp team is right for your child? Read more about our program HERE. If you're still not sure, shoot a message to Rachel Martinez and she'll get you sorted: admin@wolfpackrunning.org
We are SO stoked to see what's in store for cross country this season. And let's be honest, I'm looking forward to chill cross country weather! Go Wolfpack!
