This weekend we hosted the first of two elementary track & field meets this season at Corner Canyon High School. The weather was a little chilly, but kept rain away!
We started off with a 1500m for our comp team. This was added at the last minute so one of our comp team athletes, Hunter H. could have an officially-timed 1500m to qualify for a big meet later this season. Hunter flew through his 1500m with a time of 4:58.7. A handful of comp team athletes ran with him and they all did amazing!
Next we got started with the 1600m for our elementary athletes. They did so awesome!! We followed our 1600m heats with the 100m dash, 400m run, and a fun 4x100m relay. Then we had two long jump pits running throughout the morning and javelin on a side field.
