Join Us For the Husky Hustle

Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 29th and join us for the 1st annual Husky Hustle 5k Run/Walk Fundraiser. Arctic Rescue is an organization that specializes in rescuing Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Huskies, and Alaskan Malamutes in Utah and surrounding states. These breeds are sometimes deemed “unadoptable” by shelters or local governments and have no other options than to come to a breed-specific place where they can finally find a forever home.

Far too often, families buy one of these beautiful arctic breeds without knowing the physical and mental needs that they have. Sadly, many of these wonderful dogs end up abandoned or dumped at already-at-capacity public shelters. All of the dogs in Arctic Rescue’s care are spread among their network of volunteer foster homes. Click here if you’re interested in becoming a Foster. On average, they find “furever” homes for about 100 dogs every year.

Arctic Rescue is hosting their first annual Husky Hustle 5k on the 5k route at Wheeler Historic Farm in Salt Lake County. The run will be held entirely on park property, so there will be no street crossings. Participants are welcome to bring their dogs (they don’t have to be huskies!) to run or walk with them (on a leash, of course). There will also be a 1k run for kids.

Early bird registration ends on April 22nd. Anyone who registers after that date runs the risk of not getting an event t-shirt. They will accept registrations until the day of the run.

Consider signing up to join us at the Husky Hustle and support Arctic Rescue on what will surely be a beautiful day where you can run or walk along with some really awesome pups. Bring your whole family and REGISTER HERE!
