2023 Track & Field Registration is OPEN!

It’s time! Registration for spring track & field opens to the public TODAY!

Below is a little info about our two track & field programs. Click on the either of the banners to register for that program.

More about our Elementary Program:

Athletes in kindergarten through 6th grade get to learn the basics of track and field; including sprints, relays, distance running, long jump, and javelin. They learn through game-based activities and engaging lessons with a primary focus on effort and personal improvement. The registration fee includes the 6-week program at local schools or city parks, a race jersey, and two organized track & field meets. Practices are held at local schools or city parks.

If you are unable to register your athlete for a specific team, it may be because that team is full. We are planning to have 12 teams and only 30 athletes on each team. Once a team is full, the site will not accept any more registrations. If your school’s team fills up, feel free to register for another one close to you. All of our teams are in the Sandy and Draper area.

Click here to see a list of our teams we are hoping to have this season. We are adding coaches as we confirm them and updating practice days and times when needed.

We cannot have a team at your school or park without both a Head and Assistant coach, so please volunteer and share your love for running with these amazing kids. No coaching experience is required. Our wonderful coaches get a modest stipend and their own kids’ fees waived.

Please reach out to our Elementary Program Director Tom Sharkey if you have any questions: elementary@wolfpackrunning.org

More about our Competition Team:

Our comp team focuses on racing strategies, mental strength development, and goal setting within a fun environment. They practice 3 times each week for about 16 weeks and can compete in sprints, relays, and distance running. They can do field events and hurdles too, but vary depending on their age. This team is geared toward athletes who would like to compete at state, regional, and possibly national levels. Athletes should already have at some experience with competition running, but it’s not a requirement.

The registration fee includes the training program at high school tracks and parks in the south valley, a racing singlet, and opportunity to earn a training tee based on effort throughout the season.

Athletes on the comp team are required to have a USATF membership.

If you have questions about our competition team or whether your athlete may be a good fit, please contact Rachel at rachel@wolfpackrunning.org.

Our competition team usually fills up every season and priority registration goes to athletes who have run with us before. If our team is full and you’d like your athlete(s) to be added to our wait list, please fill out this Google form so we can reach out if/when spots open up. If you have multiple children to add to our wait list, please fill out the form for each athlete.

We cannot wait for this track & field to get started (and the weather to warm up!!). Go Wolfpack!
