After our amazing showing at the State Championship Meet, many of our athletes had the opportunity to compete at the Region 11 Championships too. Region 11 consists of Utah, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming and athletes who qualified at their State meets could compete in their same events at the Regional meet.
Here’s a rundown of how Wolfpack did:
- 14 individual champions
- 55 athletes qualified for USATF Jr Olympic Assoc NATIONALS
- dozens of PRs
- 1 new state and regional steeplechase record (way to go Bree!)
- 1 regional title WON by our amazing club
- 3 days of awesomeness from our athletes, coaches, and parents.
Every one of our athletes who competed was awarded a 1st place medal for our regional team WIN. Six of our athletes will be heading to Sacramento at the end of July and will compete in Nationals.
So many thanks to our hardworking coaches and the amazing parents who support our team. It was such a HOT weekend and we all worked together to make sure our athletes were hydrated, fed, and as comfortable as was possible during the three-day meet. Thank you to USATF for making this such a great experience for our team.
