2022 Cross Country Registration

Summer is coming to a close and school is starting within the next couple weeks. With it we begin to gear up for cross country season. Time to break out the trail runners, rain coats, and have a spare set of clothes stored in the car to change in to after wet trail runs. Many of us agree that cross country is a bit more chill than track & field… simply because it’s only one event! See below about our two cross country programs.

COMPETITION TEAM · REGISTER HERE

Registration is currently open to the public for the last remaining spots that will fill our team. We are SO looking forward to getting practices started on August 22nd and will go through early December. Practices will be Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4:30 to 4:45 pm. The USATF National Junior Olympic Assoc Cross Country Championships will be in Bryan College Station, Texas on December 10th, 2022.

If you have questions about our competition team or whether your child may be a good fit, please contact Rachel at rachel@wolfpackrunning.org or Teren at teren@wolfpackrunning.org.

Elementary Program · REGISTER HERE

We are working with the Canyons School District and local schools to establish teams, fields, and coaches for this fall’s elementary cross country program. Click here to see a list of the teams we have so far; including the days and times they will hold practice. We are continuing to add teams as they are created. We cannot have a team at your school or nearby park unless we have a Head and Assistant coach. We have LOTS of kids who want to run for Channing Hall, but no one has volunteered to coach yet. Please volunteer and share your love of running with these kids.

If you are interested in coaching at a school or park in the Canyons School District, please contact Tom Sharkey: tom_at_home@comcast.net

The season will begin on September 6th and go through mid-October. Two meets are scheduled for October 3rd in Bluffdale and October 13th in Salt Lake City.

We are so excited to get this year’s cross country season going.
